Call to book in!! Slot car racing has been taken in to 21st Century with the invention of Digital racing. 4-6 cars race on a standard 2 two lane track, passing for position with the new 'lane changing' track , pitting for 'fuel' in the pit lane and just trying to stay on the pace and finish first. RULES - Standard 'out of the box' Carrera Digital 132 & 124 slot cars. No upgrades for tyres. motors, brushes etc... Your car goes straight from the box to the track. - Box Standard Cars in ALL 8 classes. Race - Heats over (20/25 laps) 2/3min with (30/50 laps) 3/4min points counting main race(s). DIGITAL 124 season 2009 review. The class everyone loves. Large 1/24 highly detailed cars, fast, heavy and exciting to drive. Each race was made up of four racers & one drone over 3 minutes. 124 Hot Rods. The big bangers on the track. Anthony already had the title with his 11pt lead and only 10 pts on offer for a win. This left the battle for second with who ever finished higher would take second. A great race unfolded with best lap times 1/1000sec apart. All 4 cars on the lead lap before the pit stops. Then Glenn was knocked off by the drone car then Matt half a lap later, but before he pitted. The drone car now named 'Piquet Jnr'. Final standings Anthony 49pts - Glenn 35pts - Matt 31pts. Champion Anthony. Most wins Anthony & Glenn (3 each). 124 Le Mans (Classic). 3 points between the top two (Anthony & Glenn). Anthony took the first race then his performance dropping off for the next two including another DNF left Glenn to win the third race and close into a single point for the feature and last race. Anthony got the jump in the final race and with smart pitting opened up a gap and finished a massive 3 laps up. Glenn was just in the wrong place and the wrong time got stuck behind the drone car but finished second. Final standings Anthony 39pts - Glenn 33pts - Matt 20pts. Champion Anthony. Most wins Anthony & Glenn (3 each). Both 1/24 titles to Motorsport AG well done. DIGITAL 132 season 2009 review. Carrera Digital 1/32 scale highly detailed cars, fast and exciting to drive as each car had it's own characteristics. Each race was made up of six racers & one drone over 3 minutes. Endurance over 5 minutes 132 LMPT (Le Mans). With only 9 points between the top two and 10 points extra for the win it was going to be a classic battle between Glenn & Matt. Anthony shot off into the distance leaving them to fight for the championship. Glenn had a horror start but managed to catch up to Matt due to Matt getting stuck behind the drone car. Then it was Glenns' turn ahead before he too got stuck behind the drone leaving Matt to finish second and take the championship. Final standings (Top 3) Matt 97pts - Anthony 86 Pts - Glenn 83pts. Season check - Champion Matt. Most wins Glenn (3). 132 GT Cup. 2 points between Anthony & Matt. With both rounds held tonight Matt needing only one win you would think it would be that easy. But Glenn wins race 1 as Matt crashed out but still took 2pts. Final round. Advantage Anthony, but he took the 'McLaren' approach to the Championship but driving off the track with no pressure on handing the Championship to Matt. Final standings Matt 37pts - Anthony 32pts - Glenn 30pts. Champion Matt. Most wins Matt (3). Both 1/32 titles to the flying Dutchman well done. What a great first season with classic battles, major crashes, race strategy and the far to common brain fade. The following Drivers made to the top of the rostrum; Shane (3), Russell (3), Tom (2), Brian (2), Stephen (1), Gary (1) , Rob (1) and lastly and perhaps the saddest winner Drone Car (1). DIGITAL season 2010 has started. JAN 2010 - Digital 124 - Hotrods. Defending champion Anthony started off with a win. Other race winners so far were Matt & Glenn. The big 3 locking out the podium thus far. Car damage, broken bodies everywhere due to the Christmas break and a dusty track. New races rules thanks to Glenn. No drone car and of course if you're off you are out. The Hotrod championship is now called GJ Hotrods. After three championship rounds in January the top three are; 21pts Anthony - 19pts Matt - 17pts Glenn. Digital 132 - DTM. Wow the most exciting racing with 10 different body shells to choose from. DTM cars passing around the outside instead of the inside - how does that work? Well you have to come and see. Fuel Tanks set of level 3 ensures pit stop madness. Come off and you lose power for the next race. This championship should go up and down because one nightmare race could make all the difference. Four races and Anthony makes the perfect start to the season winning 4 from 4. Only 9 rounds for each DTM championship and the standings after 4 rounds, top three are; 40pts Anthony - Glenn 30 - Matt 26. Digital 132 - GT. The Porsches were back in force with a full grid. Defending champion Matt finally got going with 2 wins after Anthony won the opening round. More drivers starting next week will make things interesting as it takes 2-3 weeks to learn the track (if you are good). Standings after 3 rounds are; 38pts Matt - 35pts Anthony - 22pts D.C. FEB 2010 - Digital 124 Le Mans (Classic). Matt made the jump to claim the first win of the season. New Racer Tom, extremely quick but unlucky? was unable to secure a race victory but he has the speed to make something happen. Final two races and Anthony was back on top. Races are now 4 minutes so you need to get into your race pace but don't crash otherwise you'll loss power & fuel. Digital 132 - GT. The Porsches were on pace lapping in the low 6's due to a clean track. Blink and you'll miss them. Glenn had a good few rounds and finished on the lead lap but just couldn't claim a victory. Top three after 6 rounds are; 73pts Anthony - 71pts Matt - 48pts Glenn. Fuel loads to be cut to Level 5 next week. Digital 132 - DTM. Wow the mister is here. Six races = Six wins. Even with a tight scoring system Anthony has a 16pt lead with only 4 rounds to go. Fourth place in the Champion is close with 3 drivers only 4 points apart. Matt & Glenn now have more power than Anthony but it's too late to catch the 'Button Man'. MAR 2010 - Digital 124 - Hot Rods. A horror run on a hurry night for the mighty driving God. Anthony losing the top spot with Matt winning 2 from 3 races. Could we see a new 1/24 champion as there is only 3 rounds to go. Standings after SIX rounds are; 43pts Matt - 40pts Anthony - 31pts Glenn. Digital 132 - Le Mans (LMPT). The Audi R10 smashing the Peugeots winning all six rounds. However have the French team found a 'gold nugget' as new driver 'Tom' made an impressive debut. Quick on the track but also quick off the track, straight onto the floor. Matt defending Champion and still the Master of 1/32 took the title with a very impressive 4 wins from 6 races. FINAL standing 220pts Matt - 175pts Glenn - 170pts Anthony. Digital 132 - DTM. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman? No it's not, but I think we have found the German equivalent 'Uberman' with Anthony winning the first 7 rounds then finishing third for rest of the races as Matt & Glen battled for second place. Matt winning the last two races. This was suppose to be close racing with the Audi's starting big favorites to win as they have wider tyres. Final constructors standings; 204pts Mercedes - 156pts Audi. Drivers championship although dominated by the Uberman finished a closer that we first thought. Final drivers standings; 88pts Anthony - 76pts Matt - 76pts Glenn. Digital 124 Le Mans (Classics). One the most one sided championship thus far as the 'killer' Ferrari P4 made it 8 wins from 10 starts. Matt should have had the edge as the Ferrari 250SWB is a lot quicker than the standard Ferrari 330P3/4. Anthony had to make a change 'Aka Fangio 1954 F1 style season change' to the Ford GT40 but just like Fangio switching from Maserati to Mercedes it made Anthony untouchable. Final drivers standings; 84pts Anthony - 64pts Matt - 33pts Glenn. PART II. Digital 132 - GT. The Porsches were back after a break. Anthony's winning streak come to a quick stop as his Porsche (#71) slid across track and into trouble faster than 'Lara Bingle', managing only 24pts from the final 4 races. Glenn came from nowhere to win the first two races of the night then finished second and third to claim second position in the championship. Tom finished off his first GT season with a win. Sneaking past Russell for fifth place. Matt faded away and only made one podium in the final set of four races. Final top six standing; 127pts Anthony (CHAMPION) - 106pts Glenn - 101pts Matt - 90pts D.C - 78pts Tom - 50pts Russell. Digital 124 Le Mans (Classics). New championship started with everyone in a different make car. Anthony as DOUBLE champion forced to switch and went from driving the Ferrari's (#7 & #22) to Ford GT40 (#57). Tom giving up his GT40 #3 and is racing the rare Porsche Carrera 6 #16. As picked by everyone except Tom he was the winner for race one but is 19 laps his limit. Anthony clocked up a nice 22 laps then Matt 21 laps got him onto the podium for race two like Glenn in race one. Two races down and the standings are; 15pts Anthony - 13pts Tom - Matt 9pts - 7pts Glenn - 4pts Russell. PROFILE & UPDATES. Handicaps: Ranking A - -2 fuel. Ranking B - normal fuel.
