CMC - Ferrari Testa Rossa #22 Le Mans 'Lucybelle II'
This high-end model is a collector item for avid enthusiasts. Indeed, it caters to the thirst of CMC fans for authentic scale autos crafted in honor of a memorable racing event.
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1958, one car captured a lot of attention, and it was none other than the crème white Testa Rossa, with blue racing stripes, owned by the American Ed Hugus. An unusual feature of the car was its name “LUCYBELLE II”. Ed Hugus, the co-driver and owner of the car, had borrowed the name from his own yacht. It decorated the right fender of the Testa Rossa so prominently that pretty soon, a new fad was born and spread to various racing scenes.
With starting number 22, the private team of Ed Hugus and Ernie Erickson raced their “LUCYBELLE II” to an impressive 7th place finish. An extraordinary achievement in what might be called the hardest endurance race in the world.
Our model will be equipped with all major changes that made the original 1958 version so special to all racing fans. This model is a limited edition of 2,000 pieces world wide.
This hand-assembled replica is made of more than 1,650 single parts. Its authenticity and detail-exactness are comparable to those of the M-080, another limited edition Testa Rossa that was released earlier and has proved a great hit.
Distinctive and additional features of this special “Le Mans” version compared to the M-080.
